প্রশ্ন ১৭ : ইসলামের রুকন কয়টি ? ইসলামের সেই পাঁচটি ভিত্তি কোন আলোকে নির্ণয় করা হয়েছে ?

Principle Tenets of Islam

It is related by Abdullah bin Omar that the Apostle of God said:
“Islam is built upon five things: the testimony that there is no deity but Allah and Muhammad (PBUH) is his bondman and apostle; and the observance of prayer, and the paying of the poor-due, and the pilgrimage to Mecca, and the fast of Ramadhan.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

হযরত আবদুল্লাহ ইবনে ওমর হতে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন রাসুল সা: বলেছেন : “ ইসলাম পাচটি ভিত্তির ওপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত , যথা : ১)  আল্লাহ ছাড়া আর কোন ইলাহ নেই এবং মুহাম্মদ সা: আল্লাহর রাসুল  - কথারা  সাক্ষ্য দেয়া,  ২) নামায কায়েম করা  ৩) যাকাত প্রদান করা ৪)  হজ্জ করা ৫ ) রমযানের রোযা রাখা। (বুখারী ও মুসলিম)

সুতরাং, ইসলামের পাচটি স্তম্ভ এ কথা হদিস দ্বারা সাব্যস্ত হয়েছে।  (বুখারী ও মুসলিম এর সম্মিলিত হাদীস)
